When we got our destination we were buzzed inside with instructions to make our way to the top floor either by the stairs or by the lift. Well, the stairs spiralled around the central lift column which could only fit two, so it was a combination of walking up and sending Barb and suitcases up in the tiny lift. At the top we met a friend of the host who explained how things worked and could we please excuse the washing that was still drying on the fold out rack.
After going over the list of instructions he said to phone if we needed him and wished us a good night. Luckily Jeantine had taken French at High School, so we weren't completely bamboozled.
I also switched the iPhone to video mode for the same scene outside our flat looking to the traffic around the Tour Montparnasse or Montparnasse Tower.
The flat made very good use of its tight space
Grand old beams leading to a loft above the lounge and living area.
Making good use of the tight space, the vertical mirror folds down to be a smaill table with the table leg and stools stored in the cupboard under the stairs.
And behind the mirror / table wall is the toilet and shower cubicle
Then the kitchen, is another 'elbows in' tight space to work in. See also the top pic of Jeantine leaning against the stairs, (reading the instructions) with the kitchen in the background, and the main bedroom off to the right.
